Special Interest Signs Laser Engraved Plastic (Lamacoid)

Signs BC Illuminated uses premium quality brands of multi-layered acrylic engraving material such as Rowmark®. Excellent for interior or exterior use, it is UV stable, scratch resistant and can withstand temperatures from extreme cold to 180°F.   Available in several surface and core color combinations, Peacock offers a choice of a super-gloss lacquer finish or low-glare matte finish.

Engraving materials are available either in either 1/16" or 1/8" thicknesses.   Standard nameplates are made with the 1/16" thickness which is perfect for most applications.   The thicker 1/8" thickness is appropriate for nameplates to be drilled for tie-wrap or tie-wire applications.  The 1/8" thickness is also useful for larger engraved signage that is to be mounted on something other than a flat surface.

Lamicoid is also known as phenolic and/or engraving stock. Although the term "Phenolic" is still used in many of today's specifications and drawings, it is rarely, if ever, used in today's engraving market.
